This notice explains how Abir Hossain Nishan's personal portfolio handles information when you browse, make contact or request a document.
Contact messages
The contact form collects your name, email address, subject and message so Abir can read and respond to your enquiry. These details are stored in the portfolio's private owner inbox on its hosting server. They are not published on the website or used to subscribe you to marketing.
A copy of your enquiry is sent through Resend to Abir's Gmail inbox. Resend and Google process the name, email address, subject and message for delivery and storage. Your email is used as the reply address so Abir can respond directly. See Resend's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy. Deleting a message from the website inbox does not delete copies already held by the email services; those must be handled separately.

Storage and retention
Messages remain in the owner inbox until Abir deletes them; there is currently no automatic age-based deletion. Contact-message rate limiting also stores email-based counters to reduce spam. Database and upload backups rotate through seven snapshots. A deleted message may remain in those backups until the snapshot is replaced.
To ask about your information, request a correction or request deletion, email [email protected] with enough detail to identify your enquiry. Identity may need to be confirmed before a request is handled. Privacy rights depend on the law applicable to you.
Cookies and analytics
The owner dashboard uses an essential sign-in cookie called ahn_session, lasting up to 12 hours. It supports authentication and is not used for advertising. Browsing the public portfolio does not require an owner account.
Cloudflare provides delivery, security and website performance services. A Cloudflare analytics script is used on public pages to measure visits and performance. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as not using cookies or local storage to track visitors. The portfolio does not currently include Google Analytics or advertising tags.
Network requests necessarily provide connection information, such as an IP address, to the hosting and delivery services. Their handling of that information is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy and its Web Analytics documentation.
Academic documents and external links
Public document pages display titles, authorship, summaries and links. Restricted theses and reports are stored in Google Drive. Opening Request access takes you to Google, where signing in and requesting permission are governed by Google's services and privacy practices. Abir reviews access requests in Drive; the portfolio does not receive your Google password.
External services, including Google Drive and LinkedIn, operate under their own privacy policies. The public CV is available without a document-access request.
